The year ten boys athletics team competed superbly in the annual Calderdale schools athletics competition.
The event was held at the Spring Hall Athletics track in Halifax and the boys did themselves proud, finishing sixth overall out of 16 schools.
Notable performances were in the 100m with Jay Connor winning his heat comfortably and finishing second overall.
Year nine Jack Crummett, running against boys a year older, finished fourth in the 800m.
Isaac Carrington placed fourth overall in the 200m and Oliver Van Der Rijden was joint fourth in the high jump.
In the 4x100m relay the boys finished the day off in style, coming home second.
This year has also been a huge success for the Todmorden High School football teams.
As a school we have been promoted to the Calderdale first division for only the second time in ten years, which is a huge achievement for the size of our school.
We came second overall to Rastrick in the second division, beating Calder High, Sowerby Bridge, Park Lane and Halifax High.
We will now be playing against mainly sports colleges in the first division next year.
