Walkers could soon be using improved footpaths in the upper Calder Valley after plans were announced for a makeover of several routes.
CROWS (Community Rights of Way Services) is about to start on a major set of upgrades of paths from Todmorden to Cornholme.
The route is going to be used for a Pennine Horizons e-Trail with the theme of the Fielden family.
The work should be completed by the end of February.
Richard Peters, treasurer of CROWS, said: “Parts of the route are in very bad condition, but after the upgrade it will become a very attractive walking route.”
