Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio team up to bring to life the true story of a New York stockbroker’s success and excess.
“The Wolf of Wall Street”, which has been nominated for five Oscars including Best Picture, will be screened at Hebden Bridge Picture House from Friday until Monday at 7.30pm daily.
Scorsese directs the true story of New York stockbroker Jordan Belfort, whose success and excess in his earlier twenties warranted him the title “The Wolf of Wall Street”.
From the American Dream to corporate greed, Belfort goes from penny stocks and righteousness to IPOs and a life of corruption in the late 1980s.
Tonight (Thursday) there is a final chance to see another Oscar nominated film, “American Hustle”, at 7.45pm.
Over the weekend animated tale “Mr Peabody and Sherman” will be screened.
Mr Peabody, the most accomplished dog in the world, and his mischievous boy Sherman, use their time machine to go on the most outrageous adventure known to man or dog.
Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman star in “The Railway Man” - based on the memoir of British Army officer Eric Lomax during World War Two - on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7.45pm.
