SUITS you sir - and madam!
Staff at CP’s Bar, Bridge Street, Todmorden, are hoping it will be all white on the night at a fundraiser this Friday night (October 26).
It is to benefit Yorkshire Air Ambulance and customers will be invited to buy, for a small donation, a white suit like these being modelled by staff, says bar manager Justin Brett.
As well as helping to keep your party togs clean, you will be helping a good cause, he said.
Justin said: “Unlike many charities, this is one which any one of us could use and need at any time, from an accident on a motorway to going for a walk in a remote area. I am proud to have CP’s Bar help raise money and keep people alive.
“Basically people are invited to buy and wear a ‘white suit’ for a small donation, of which 100 per cent of money raised goes towards the air ambulance. We are open from 9pm and have representitives from YAA on hand to talk to people about the great work of the air ambulance.”
Justin said it costs £7,200 a day to keep both air ambulances in the air. The air ambulances serve five million people across Yorkshire, including the people of Todmorden, Hebden Bridge and surrounding areas. It operates 365 days a year, offering a rapid response and life saving services, he says.
