Todmorden Borough will go at least six weeks between matches after their latest postponement at Milnthorpe last Saturday.
The game was called off at 10am on Saturday due to waterlogged pitch, the reserves’ home game with their Longridge Town counterparts having suffered a similar fate on Friday evening.
“Everywhere is soaked - there is nowhere for the water to go,” said first team boss John Gilford.
Borough have no game this weekend while the reserves are due to visit Hesketh Bank.
The firsts last played in a 4-2 success at Ladybridge on January 11 and their next possible outing is at home to GSK Ulverston Rangers on Saturday week, February 22.
Chris Kay and Jim Hardman face an even longer break than their teammates because they are still waiting to serve suspensions.
“Nearly everyone else is in the same boat - I think there were only five matches played in the whole of the league last weekend,” said Gilford, whose side had been on a roll before the weather struck.
On the plus side, Danny Walsh has been able to rest his groin strain.
Gilford reports numbers at Tuesday training to be standing up well, aided by the “always entertaining” sessions organised by Steve Huck.
Gilford is hoping for an update on Dan Lively’s crushed big toe - the result of a dropped concrete block at work - after the player’s return trip to hospital late this week.
“I don’t think he should play again this season but Danny is the sort who will play as soon as he gets an opportunity.”
Fellow Saturday side Walsden C & FC are also inactive. Their next Rochdale Online Alliance match is at home to Oldham Borough on Saturday week.
Woodhouse United have no scheduled fixtures in the Rochdale Sunday League over the next two weekends at the moment.
Borough, Walsden and Woodhouse are all fairly well on with their fixtures.
