This Sunday, March 30, is Mothering Sunday, and a chapel of rest is opening its doors to people who want to remember loved ones who have passed on.
The J. and C. Warburton Chapel of Rest, at Broadstone Street, off Cross Stone Road, Todmorden, will be open from 11am to 2pm on Sunday, said Peter Kelly of the company.
“People can come along and drop off a Mother’s Day card, light a candle, bring in a photograph and put it up in the chapel or just spend some time in quiet contemplation,” he said. “It’s a tangible act of remembrance on Mother’s Day.”
