Hebden Royd United Ladies dropped vital points in a 2-2 home draw with Thornes Ladies in Division Two of the West Riding Women’s League.
A typical solo run and shot by Hannah Jones gave Hebden the lead after 10 minutes. Forward Sinead Rice had a shot pushed onto a post but otherwise the first half was dour.
Hebden made changes due to injuries.Nikki Silcox made a close-range save but Ashley Mallett equalised.
Rochelle Drake threatened down the left for Hebden but failed to find the target.
Jones scored her second direct from a corner - her sixth in four games - but 10-player Thornes unsettled the local girls with some robust play.
They took charge and although there was resolute defending by Grace Rawnsley and Sarah Clegg, Robin Wallace equalised.
Hebden remain title contenders with Oulton and Ilkley.
