Todmorden bid to upset visitors Rawtenstall on Sunday after getting a first Lancashire League win of the season under their belts five days ago.
Rawtenstall have won their first three games to share the lead while Tod were beaten at Ramsbottom on Sunday after accounting for Burnley at Centre Vale last Saturday.
Tod skipper Andrew Sutcliffe said: “Brett Pelser is flying with bat and ball for Rawtenstall so it will be a tough game, as it always is, but we are confident that we can grab a win.”
Sutcliffe’s men beat Burnley by four wickets with a superb performance from overseas man Michael Neser.
The paceman took six for 48, including three in his first burst, to help limit Burnley to 194 for seven. He followed up with 76 not out as Tod chased down a reduced target.
Sutcliffe said: “Neser showed his quality against a very good Burnley side.
“Our innings did not start brilliantly but Ben Sutcliffe and Elliott Gilford put a partnership together to put us back in the game.
“When Michael came to the crease he never gave a chance and showed his true batting qualities.
“You pay pro’s to win you the game and with his calm approach and shot selection we are hopeful this will become a regular occurrence.”
Neser’s Ramsbottom counterpart Daryn Smit was the star performer on Sunday, showing the way to a 54-run success with 47 and seven for 29.
Sutcliffe said: “It wasn’t a great day. We were out- played in all three disciplines (batting, bowling and fielding).”
Todmorden seconds also had a mixed weekend.
Their inexperienced team could only muster 104 at Burnley, Benjamin Pearson top scoring with 42 and veteran Stuart Priestley making 17. Burnley reached a reduced target of 96 for three wickets.
Visitors Ramsbottom made 184 on Sunday with Stuart Priestley taking five for 30 and Hamza Ali two for 51.
After an opening stand of 63, Stuart Parker stroked a half-century and Benjamin Pearson made 58. Priestley completed a great run chase with a gigantic six for a five-wicket win with two balls left.
