Todmorden Borough will bid for an action replay when they start their West Lancashire League programme on Saturday, August 9.
They are at home to Barrow Wanderers - a repeat of last year’s opener at Bellholme which they won 6-0 .
Tod went on to finish 10th in Division Two while Barrow propped up the league, collecting only six points.
Long-serving club official John Gilford said: “Barrow have been bottom for the two years they have been in it.
“On the face of it we should win but you never know what team they will have out or what our line-up will be.”
The August fixtures have been released and Borough are due to play CMB away on the 16th, Furness Cavaliers away on the 23rd and Croston Sports at home on the 3oth.
However, Gilford said Borough may request a postponement of the CMB match because player Chris Kay’s brother Dave was getting married and several team members would be missing.
Borough have been back in training for a couple of weeks at Bellholme and Gilford said: “We have half a dozen cricketers in our ranks but we have still had between 12 and 14 training.
“We’re only fielding one team next season so we should have enough players.”
Steven Hook has taken charge following Gilford’s decision to end his long stint as boss at the end of last season.
Borough are likely to have a couple of friendly games towards the end of July.
