Hebden Bridge locals, Mary Agnes Krell and Tony Casey are busy organising the Grand Northern Ukulele Festival, happening in Huddersfield Town Hall on September 13 and 14.
And they have linked up with the town’s Real Cider Company to produce a special drink for the occasion.
Tony and Mary took some time out to launch their “Grand Northern Ukulele Festival Cider” at Hebden Bridge’s local community pub, Fox and Goose.
At the festival itself (more details on http://www.northernuke.com), another Hebden Bridge music maker, Rob Collins, is at this event doing a workshop on Sunday, September 14, at 3pm.
The festival offers a range of opportunities to create and hear things, both artistic and musical, meet new people with shared interests, learn from others, and share knowledge in return.
The cider is available at the Fox and Goose, as well as at the festival.
The cider is in limited supply due to it being a true craft cider, so the advice is to sample it soon!
Tony added that the Real Cider Company would be donating glass flagons of the festival cider to us too.
