Todmorden Market Association are looking to the future of the market and are trying to formulate a way of working with both Calderdale and Todmorden Councils while taking over the running of our market themselves.
Another step is being taken with the opening up ofTodmorden Market Hall from Sunday, September 21.
A spokesman said: “The discussions are really at the very early stages and we know that progress will be slow, but with the continued support of our customers we are sure we can grow stronger.
“The indoor units are almost full with only one empty stall at the moment and as from Sunday the market hall will be open so that anyone with an indoor unit can open if they wish.
“This will be a trial period up until the new year.
“Hopefully it will be a success and will continue to open on a Sunday in the future.”
