Artist Gillian Lee Smith will be bringing her easel and brushes ready to create some new masterpieces in the Heart Gallery from 11am to 4pm today.
The Heart Gallery, Market Street, Hebden Bridge, will be transformed into a mini studio, were you can see the artist at work.
A gallery spokesperson said: “Whilst you are in this creative space, take a look at her captivating and emotive exhibition ‘We all Cast Shadows’ and get a closer look at Gillian’s sketch books. This is an open day to ask the artist anything about her technique and style whilst she is painting live at the Gallery. We look forward to seeing you all there.”
l This weekend, Saturday and Sunday, November 1 and 2, sees Todmorden Art Group host its annual exhibition at Todmorden Town Hall (from round 10am to 4pm each day).
The exhibition is organised by Todmorden Art Group which is a non-profit organisation. A spokesman said: “We use any surplus funds from exhibitions to fund future events and exhibitions, and donations to charities.”
The weekend exhibition also showcases works from local schools. Visitors can also vote for their favourite artist and there are craft tables and charity stalls.
