The Calder Valley’s ska and reggae rootsters Owter Zeds made a welcome return to Wadsworth Community Centre on Saturday, November 1.

Owter Zeds need no introduction to Calder Valley folks.

Twenty-seven years in the business and still going from strength to strength.

Born and bred in Hebden Bridge, they’re famous for their original compositions and unique interpretation of ska, rock and reggae.

The guitars, keyboards, trombones and sax of this eight piece band are sure to raise the roof.

Their music is catchy, happy and ultra-danceable - and their infectious enthusiasm is guaranteed to get everyone on their feet.

“It’s been almost two years since the Zeds were here last and they invariably pack the place,” said organiser Derek Williamson.

“Their style of music is bound to get the place rocking.

“With a real ale bar and food at the interval it promises to be a night to remember. Doors are at 7.30pm and as for entry, it’s just £5 on the door,” he said.
