Tenty four archery students, including 12 juniors, have completed 12 hours of tuition over four weekends in basic archery skills with White Rose Archers at Calder High School.
They were taught how to set up and shoot a recurve bow to a safe and competent standard. They also had a shooting demonstration by club members of the English longbow, compound bow and a horse bow.
The course ended with a short shooting competition involving a distance of 15 and 10 metres.
The best junior gold was scored by Niall Richardson and Michael Wood for the seniors who scored a direct hit on the centre
