I am writing to thank Councillor Chris Baksa for his kind words in his letter published in Todmorden News November 13th 2014, following my retirement from West Yorkshire Police after 30 years of service.
I served as a Police Sergeant at Todmorden Police Station for over 10 years of my service and enjoyed it, thanks to the people of the town.
I have many happy memories of my time working in Todmorden. I am grateful for the support and guidance I have received from many people over the years. I am especially grateful to the rank and file Police officers stationed at Todmorden, for their hard work and dedication, to the Mayor and all of the Todmorden Town Councillors for their support, and to Mrs Sandra Peach and everyone at Independent Nightlife.
I must also thank all my friends at Incredible Edible Todmorden, for their kindness and support, I trust that the Scout group will continue maintain the raised vegetable beds at the Police station. I thank everyone for their kind wishes, cards and incredible cakes, and I wish the people of the town of Todmorden the very best for the future. I am proud to have served them as their Police Sergeant.
