Young artist Bradley Dyer is delighted to be holding his first exhibition at Platform One Gallery at Todmorden Railway Station.
Bradley, who is just 10, has autism and wants to raise awareness of the condition, said his proud mum Angela.
Bradley has found a fulfilling outlet for his energies through his art, and has been developing his technique and honing his skills with the help of Todmorden Art Group’s Jack Jarman.
The results impressed the gallery, which the Art Group runs and comprises studios and exhibition space at Todmorden Railway Station, giving him some wall space for his first exhibition.
Angela said: “He’s very good at watercolours and he’s looking like a man who has been painting for years. Bradley wants to raise awareness of his condition autism,” she said.
Bradley’s exhibition ran until last weekend and any proceeds from sales were going to the Pro Games Group, which is run by the Upper Valley Family Service in SureStart’s headquarters at Todmorden Comkmunity College.
“Bradley loves art and has been painting for a long time, and has been going to Platform One for about four months. Jack has really taken Bradley under his wing. Bradley’s completely changed through his art and he’s a happy little boy. This is his first exhibition and Jack says he’s caused quite a stir,” Angela added.
