Cornholme residents Anna Butler and Shirley Harris organised a third very successful Christmas wreath-making workshop for the local community on Saturday, December 20, at Vale Baptist Chapel, Burnley Road.
Some very attractive and original wreaths were made by local people who also enjoyed a glass of festive mulled wine and mince pies.
This year’s event raised £60 which is being donated to Calder Valley-based CROWS (Community Rights of Way Service) for repairs to local field paths.
This work will contribute towards the creation of a planned history trail in Cornholme which is supported by Pennine Horizons.
The organisers said: “Thanks go to Vale Baptists for lending us their hall and to local gardeners for supplying all that amazing the greenery.”
