A THEATRE company is completing its own course to the London Olympics.

Over the next six weeks, Todmorden based StoryMagic’s Olympic themed show “The Tortoise and the Hare” will tour Lancashire and Yorkshire, through Nottinghamshire and finally be performed at Wembley on July 21 as part of the Greater London Olympic Celebration.

The show will then return to its home in Calderdale to perform over the summer holidays at Eureka, Halifax.

Katrina Heath, writer and director, said: “We are thrilled that our show is reaching such a wide audience throughout the country. It is very interactive and audiences have a lot of fun throughout.

“The show reminds us what the Olympic rings represent and has a really fun, uplifting feel.

“We really wanted to help to bring to our audiences the excitement of the London Olympics and we have definitely succeeded.

“It is also great that throughout the tour all the actors have been from Yorkshire. It has been great to work with Team Yorkshire on this fun and energetic show.”

StoryMagic runs performances at schools, libraries, theatres and for groups. For more information, call Katrina on 01706 810788 or visit www.storymagictheatre.co.uk.
