The cast and crew at Todmorden’s Hippodrome Theatre, Halifax Road, are getting closer to performing this year’s adult musical The Addams Family - and they are pulling out all the stops to get into character.
On Sunday the family donned some pieces of costume and headed out to some of Todmorden’s more spooky locations, said a Todmorden Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society.
“It was a miserable, wet Sunday morning but this team of dedicated cast were all prepared to head out and got right into the ‘spirit’ of it.
“In this particular cast we see new and old faces alike, and it often helps to learn from other performers to help enhance and fine tune your own performance, especially when it comes to characterisation.
“Each character is clearly brought ‘back to life’ and some of the finer details of these characters are clear from the set of pictures we took on Sunday,” he said.
It is not just the cast hard at work, he added.
“The technical crew are well under way with building the set, of course there are other elements to consider as well.
“The lighting designer has been in and has already started to put together some of the special effects that will feature in the show.
“We are also proud to announce two new associations with businesses in Todmorden.
