Theo Hewson Betts, a member of the National Youth Board of the Diana Trust, an anti-bullying charity, is holding a bag packing event in Morrisons on Saturday, April 11.

It will take place at the supermarket’s Rochdale Road, Todmorden, store from noon to 4pm,to raise money for an anti bullying training event in Todmorden.

The training event is intended to train 150 young people across the town to learn to identify and tackle bullying in all its forms.

Theo has received support from the local council who are funding the largest part of the ambitious project, but he is committed to raise the final £600 himself.

He has already received a donation from a local business but now needs a final push towards achieving his target, and his dream.

Theo said: “I am delighted with the massive support I have received from the town council, but I need to raise more money to achieve my dream of making Todmorden a bully free zone.

“I hope that this bag pack will raise the money I need.

“I have friends and family helping me, but if anyone else would like to volunteer that would be amazing.”

He continued: “Invitation letters for the training event have been sent to all the schools and some of the clubs in Todmorden.

“I really hope that teachers and youth leaders use the opportunity to help me make Todmorden a bully free zone.”
