Hepton Singers of Hebden Bridge and the Leeds Guild of Singers perform a joint concert at St Matthew’s Church, Chapel Allerton, Leeds on Saturday, April 25.
The programme from both choirs offers an exciting range of a cappella singing from British literary and musical ‘heroes’ - most notably Shakespeare, Vaughan-Williams, Holst and Tavener.
The singing will be conducted by both Graham Coatman of the Leeds Guild of Singers, and Alison West of the Hepton Singers.
The Hepton Singers is a Pennines-based a cappella choir who have previously performed in Manchester and Leeds. The Leeds Guild of Singers, founded in 1948, is an auditioned chamber choir, based in the University of Leeds’ School of Music and which performs chiefly in venues in and around Leeds.
