There was a close finish to Todmorden Tennis Club’s first competition of the season, a mixed doubles knockout.
Mark Gledhill and Suzanne Oulton narrowly beat Mark Cheetham and Eve Marshall.
Great tennis was played and one member said the final was one of the best he had ever seen.
The Calderdale League season is under way and Tod has five men’s teams, three mixed teams and two ladies teams.
Junior coaching on Fridays began last week. The 4-5pm sessions are for players aged 5-10/11 (Primary) with the 5-6pm session for players aged 11-16. Sessions cost £3.
Ladies coaching is split into two sessions - 6.30pm–7pm for beginners and 7-8pm for more experienced players. The cost is £3 for members and £5 for non-members.
