Lightcliffe were unable to put a dent in the unbeaten record of Bradford League leaders Pudsey St Lawrence, losing at home by five wickets.
The home side were far from disgraced, Saints hitting the winning runs with only seven balls to spare after being set 225 to win.
Lightcliffe had by far the better of the early action with Michael Brooke (79) and former St Lawrence batsman Alex Stead (68) putting on 140 for the first wicket.
Evan Edwards made 31 not out to help the Wakefield Road men to a decent score.
However, it proved insufficient as Chris Marsden (54), Adam Waite (40) and James Smith (35) saw the visitors to victory.
Lightcliffe are third from bottom while Brighouse are seventh in Division Two after a 97-run defeat at Bankfoot.
The home side’s Cosmond Walters crashed seven sixes in 135, adding 134 for the third wicket with ex-Yorkshire player Neil Nicholson (50) to leave Brighouse needing 227 to win.
Ex-Lightcliffe bowler Aleem Ladak took five for 49 for Brighouse, who then disappointed with the bat.
The visitors managed only 139 with Sohail Hussain’s 35 the top score.
Elland’s top four all scored freely, headed by Robin Broom’s 76 in a winning total of 264 for four at Broad Oak in the Huddersfield League.
Barkisland lost by nine wickets at Hoylandswaine after being bowled out for 128, Jamie Summerscales and overseas player Tim Seifert making 39 apiece.
Zafar Khan maintained his fine start to the season with five for 30 at Northowram Fields rolled over visitors Caribbean for 87 in the Central Yorkshire League’s Championship and completed a seven-wicket win.
Illingworth got back to winning ways in Division Two of the Aire/Wharfe League thanks to a tight bowling display at home to Thackley.
They looked vulnerable when they only totalled 183, Shane Marshall taking seven for 54, but skipper Luke Brooksby (four for 27 off 11) led the fightback as the Bradford side were limited to 135 for eight.
Todmorden and Walsden had mixed luck as they warmed up for league games on Sunday with some Twenty/20 action.
Enfield’s South African pro Graeme Van Buuren put Tod on the back foot with 82 in a total of 151 for six at Centre Vale.
After the loss of three early wickets, newly-arrived pro Bilawal Bhatti (59) and Ben Sutcliffe (57) gave the home side a chance but Tod fell eight runs short of victory.
Walsden totalled only 113 for six at home to Middleton and it would have been worse but for Stevie Barker (24 no) and Callum Rushton (23 no) at the end.
However, the Scott Street side are strong in the bowling department and restricted Middleton to 92 for nine with Josh Gale taking three for 14 off four overs.
