Eight people have been taken to hospital with after a two-vehicle accident which has left a man critically ill.
Fire and Rescue crews rushed to Wakefield Road in Brighouse after 9pm last night (Saturday).
One casualty, a man in his thirties, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by Yorkshire Air Ambulance and is in a critical condition.
Seven others were rushed to hospitals across the district.
Cleckheaton Fire Station crew had to cut the roof off an Audi car to remove two backseat passengers on longboards after the incident near Cooper Bridge.
Fire crews from Mirfield, Cleckheaton, Batley and Rastrick attended the accident.
