Brighouse Town will be heading for Greater Manchester on Monday instead of to the east coast as a result of yesterday’s 1-1 FA Cup draw with Atherton Collieries.
The cup replay takes priority for Paul Quinn’s side, meaning the Bank Holiday game away to Scarborough Athletic at Bridlington in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier has been put on the back burner.
Town went into Saturday’s game on the back of wins over Yorkshire rivals Harrogate Railway and Farsley Celtic but were below their best.
They took the lead midway through the first half when a Danny Facey effort was parried by the ‘keeper and Leon Henry scored from six yards.
Ben Hardcastle replied for the visitors 12 minutes into the second half.
