Drop in to the Todmorden Information Centre during the whole of March for some very tasty visual treats!
It’s an exhibition with a difference, featuring work from local artist Rita Frayne.
Rita says she has some mouth-watering paintings on show, including Strawberry Flan and A Plate of Cakes.
These paintings have been inspired by the charming and unique teas held at Lumbutts Methodist Church every summer - a very popular attraction and usually busy when they are on.
The Rev Heather Taylor will also be displaying a selection of her Lumbutts photographs.
To top it all, there will be a cream of an exhibition about Lumbutts Methodist Church, who have hosted their famous “Lumbutts Teas” for the last 30 of their 175-year history.
Last year’s 175th anniversary exhibition proved a poular attraction with lots of photographs and memorabilia, and this is another chance to see some of its highlights, said Rita.
“We hope you enjoy all the delights the exhibition has to offer,” she said.
Todmorden Information Centre, which is on Burnley Road, is open from 10am to 4pm, Mondays to Saturdays, and from 10.45am to 2.30pm on Sundays, as well as most bank holidays.
Throughout the year it offers showcase space for local artists and exhibitions, which usually run for a month at a time.
