Todmorden could have a new fish and chip shop, if a planning application to change the use of a building is approved.
A former newsagents at 218 Burnley Road, Todmorden, could become a branch of the Fryer Goggins chain.
Mr Yong Biao Zhao has applied to Calderdale Council for permission to change the use of the premises from newsagents (A1) to fish and chip shop (A5).
Mr Zhao represents the Fryer Goggins company, of Bacup.
In a supporting statement he says that the premises were previously a newsagents that also sold food, and if granted the premises would go under the name of Fryer Goggins.
Any representations on the application should be with Calderdale Council planners by April 12.

Ms Danielle Pilling has applied for planning permission to demolish a garage to facilitate a single storey side extension to 16 Stocks Gardens, Mytholmroyd.
