Remembering our loved ones at a ‘Celebration of Life’

A special service for people to remember loved ones who have passed away is being held in Hebden Bridge next week.

The service will be uplifting in tone, and throughout the upper valley message tags will be available for a balloon release.

And any donations on the night will go to help a cancer charity continue its work.

Valley Funeral Service and Robertshaw Greenwood Funeral Directors are joining together to hold a “Celebration of Life” service’ at Hebden Bridge Town Hall on Wednesday, May 22, between 6pm and 8pm.

The service will be conducted by local celebrant Zetta Bear who many will know gives a very heartfelt service, said a spokesman for the service.

“The venue is for anyone who wishes to come along and have an uplifting social evening but also wishes to give thanks to their loved ones for having been part of their lives,” he said.

“There will be music from local artists and readings from celebrant Catherine Holton and Pamela Irving F D. We will be releasing balloons, with messages of remembrance tied to them, at the end of the service followed by

refreshments.”

Tags for messages will be available to collect and return before the service from Valley Funeral Service, Valley Road, Hebden Bridge, Robertshaw Greenwood, Albert Street, Hebden Bridge, Hebden Bridge Town Hall and both Tourist Information Centres in Hebden Bridge and Todmorden.

Any donations collected on the night will be on behalf of Marie Curie Nurses.
