Todmorden look set to be without seam bowler Gideon Foster for two Lancashire League games this weekend.
Foster, already among the wickets on his return to the club, suffered a compound fracture to a finger, which also required six stitches, in last Saturday’s win over Burnley.
He damaged his non-bowling hand stopping a ball off his own bowling and seems likely to sit out the games at Colne on Saturday and at home to Enfield on Sunday.
Todmorden are seventh of 14 after two very different performances last weekend.
The Centre Vale Park men had a nine-wicket win over Burnley, who raced to 83 without loss off 13 overs before skipper Andrew Sutcliffe reverted to spin.
The run rate slowed and Getth Alwis’s five for 63 helped keep the visitors in check at 206 for nine.
Sutcliffe said: “At half time the momentum was with us and we were confident of knocking off the runs as it was a brilliant batting track.”
Ben Sutcliffe (89 no) and Alwis (80 no) wrapped up a nine-wicket win with six overs to spare, both producing chanceless innings.
It was a different tale on Sunday when Tod lost by 41 runs away to East Lancashire.
Andrew Sutcliffe chose to bowl and was happy to bowl out the hosts for 167 with eight of the wickets falling to spin.
Tod were confident but the wicket was turning and the visitors slipped from 38 for none to 41 for four and never recovered.
“We know we were not good enough on the day to win but hopefully we can bounce back at the weekend,” said Sutcliffe.
