If ever there was an argument for refurbishing the tennis courts in Centre Vale Park then look no further than the success Todmorden Tennis Club has enjoyed this year in providing opportunities and encouraging players of all abilities.
Apart from the usual sessions for four to 10 year olds ,which are always popular, two other sessions are available thanks to extra funding via Margaret Bottomley and the Community Tennis Partnership which are aimed at those of 14+ years and women and girls.
The club’s drive to encourage women and girls has been a great success with Monday evenings thriving with many new players starting or returning to tennis .
