Moazzam Ayub’s six for 32 and Chris Shannon’s 61 were not enough as Booth completed their Foster’s Halifax Cricket League Premier Division campaign with a 53-run defeat by visitors Warley
Warley produced the better team effort, spearheaded by Michael Midwood’s 54 in a total of 219 for eight.
Mytholmroyd used 10 bowlers in their final game against Blackley, but quantity did not equate to quality as they went down by 68 runs.
The result meant that Blackley claimed the runners-up berth - a great improvement on last year’s third-from-bottom position.
Tom Baxter (83) and Dan Houldin (59) added 141 after they had been 56 for four.
Blackley posted 265 and ‘Royd were dismissed for 197 in reply with Darren Thompson (41 no) batting through and Kyle Adamson taking the final five wickets to fall.
Luddenden Foot have pipped Wibsey Park Chapel to the second promotion place in Division Two with low Moor crowned champions.
Foot were eight points ahead of Wibsey before Saturday and although they lost the game against their rivals at Bradford Park Avenue they did more than enough to stay ahead of Chapel, picking up two points to their opponents’ seven.
Gareth Swain put in another mighty shift with the ball for Foot, taking five for 66 off 23 overs to limit Wibsey to 149 for six on a big ground.
Skipper Karl Whipp made 79 in reply, helping his side from a perilous 57 for four to 134 for five off their 45 overs.
