Two brother-and-sister pairings make a formidable foursome going by the name of The Magic Numbers who want to count you in on their forthcoming acoustic gig.
The band will play at Hebden Bridge Picture House next Wednesday (October 2, doors 7pm for an 8pm start).
The UK-based quartet are Romeo Stodart (lead guitar, vocals), his sister Michele (bass guitar, vocals, keyboard), Angela Gannon (melodica, percussion, glockenspiel, vocals) and her brother Sean (drums).
They have already played a number of sold-out gigs on their current tour, which has taken them from Falmouth to Inverness.
The Magic Numbers are known for their unique harmonies, melodic hooks and songwriting craftsmanship.
Tonight the National Theatre presents another live screening at the venue. ‘Othello’ (adv 12A), starts at 7pm (doors 6pm) and stars Rory Kinnear, son of the late Roy, as the duplicitous Iago.
The week’s packed programme includes futuristic drama ‘Elysium’ (15), tomorrow, Saturday (7.45pm) and Sunday (4pm) and animated fun with ‘Planes’ (U) on Saturday and Sunday (1.30pm).
‘Lovelace’ (18) is on Sunday and Monday (7.45pm) and ‘The Way, Way Back’ (12A) is on Tuesday and next Thursday.
