Readers springing into action

The imminent arrival of spring has captured the imagination of keen photographers.

As the days get longer and the temperatures get milder, snappers have been getting out and about to capture the sights and sounds of the upper Calder Valley.

Jeanette Valentine took photos of the early morning view over Todmorden.

Bo Melnyk has been photographing the wildlife on Walsden Water and the Rochdale Canal in the village.

Bo said: “These geese recognise me because I feed them but didn’t expect them to nearly land on my head!”

John Ross sent us a photo of feeding time for pigeons.

And Paul Clarke has also been busy with his camera. He took a photo of sunshine gleaming off the windows of houses in Hebden Bridge and also photographed a musician performing in St George’s Square.

Keep sending us your photos.

Email them as jpeg files to todnews@todmordennews.co.uk or hbtimes@hebdenbridgetimes.co.uk.
