Todmorden Borough return to action with the first of four matches on successive Saturdays to complete their West Lancashire League season.

Eighth-placed Borough travel to fourth-placed Milnthorpe Corinthians refreshed after a three-week break since their Challenge Cup exit at Leyland United by 2-0.

Borough will travel without fear, having won the home meeting 4-1 in mid-November.

“We beat them comfortably at home - we bullied them in a one-sided affair,” said manager John Gilford, who will be without Dean Farry but could have one new face on show.

Joe Gale, a teenage striker, has joined from Walsden C & FC, who have finished their Rochdale Online Alliance programme.

Gilford said: “He is a signing for next year and is a player with a lot of potential.”

Gale could be on the bench on Saturday and there is also a return for Dan Lively following his crushed toe.

Gilford, meanwhile, has confirmed that he will continue for an eighth season as manager in 2014-2015 with ex-Halifax Town, Guiseley and Chorley player Steve Huck as his assistant and in charge of coaching.

Borough have one last long trip on Saturday week away to Furness Cavaliers.

They then complete their programme with home games against Stoneclough and second-placed Ulverston Rangers.
