Hebden Bridge Trades Club is hosting a open session on Sunday for members and local people to show their support for Todmorden Food Drop In.
It’s an opportunity to drop off non-perishable food stuffs and talk to Food Drop In volunteers who feed an average of 100 local people and families every weekend. The Drop In team also give out around 160 food parcels a week from their base in St Mary’s Church in Todmorden.
The team hope people will set up direct debits of £5 that will buy a food parcel and to help cover their monthly food bill of £1350. If they double the number of monthly pledges they will be able to cover their costs and become financially viable in the long term.
The Trade Cub’s committee will also hand over a cheque for £474 from a fundraising DJ gig last month.
Food stuffs can be dropped off from 3pm on Sunday.
