Two comedians very familiar to Calder Valley audiences won comedy’s greatest accolade at the Edinburgh Festival.
Phil Ellis and Mick Ferry were part of the team that won the 2014 Foster’s Comedy Award Panel Prize at the Edinburgh Fringe. Formerly known as ‘the Perrier’ this is pretty much the Oscar of stand up and previous Perrier winners include Jonny Vegas, Stephen Fry, Frank Skinner and Steve Coogan! Funz and Gamez is an anarchic and irreverent kids’ show that satirises children’s entertainers. As well as Phil and Mick it also featured comedians Jim Meehan, Will Duggan and Both Mick and Phil have recently appeared at the monthly Hebden Bridge Comedy Club
