The new season of informal chamber concerts by Antony and Friends gets underway on Saturday, September 6, at Central Methodist Church, Bramsche Square, Todmorden, at 7.30pm.
The concerts which are hosted and performed by local solicitor, Antony Brannick, have already proved popular with audiences and are now well-established in the local music scene.
Antony said: “My guests this time are clarinettist Rachael Gibbon, viola player Robin Pennie and pianist Geoff Kerr.
“The featured work for the concert will be Mozart’s ‘Kegelstatt’ trio for clarinet, viola and piano in which we’ll hear Mozart’s skill at writing for this unusual combination of instruments.”
Antony will also be completing his exploration of Bach’s 48 preludes and fugues with the prelude and fugue in B flat minor.
He will also play Schumann’s depiction of an evening’s dance - Papillons.
Completing the programme will be some lighter short pieces for clarinet and piano.
All are welcome and there is no admission charge.
Refreshments are provided and a retiring collection will be taken.
The concerts are supported by Wrigley Claydon solicitors.
