Calder Valley MP Craig Whittaker has welcomed removal of parking charges on three Todmorden car parks.
Mr Whittaker said that charges atDalton Street, Dale Street and Oxford Stre car parks had been removed as of Monday, September 8.
He said:”I have been aware of the devastating effect that these charges have had throughout the smaller towns within the Calder Valley, including Todmorden, since they were introduced.
“Hundreds of people have raised this issue with me since then and so I am delighted to see that the new Conservative Cabinet on Calderdale Council has acted so quickly to remove these unwanted and damaging charges.”
