St Mary’s Church, Todmorden, is planning its Christmas Fayre for Saturday, November 29, running from 11am to 3pm.
A spokeswoman said: “There will be all the usual enticements, tombola stalls, home made produce with cakes and jams made by some of the best cooks in Tod.
“There will be hand-made gifts at very good prices and bran tubs for children and adults, Large Christmas hampers are to be raffled, also for adults and children. A home-made lunch will be available, plus tea, coffee and cakes throughout the day - and of course mulled wine!”
Father Christmas, accompanied by his fairy helper, will be arriving at 1pm and is expected to stay for an hour. Tickets for visits to his grotto will be available from our opening time at 11am. The Todmorden C of E (National) School Singers will be performing music at 12.30pm.
“We welcome everyone to this event, and helping us in our fundraising endeavours means that we can maintain St Mary’s Church and always be there for the people of Todmorden,” she said.
