Christmas kicks off at the Trades Club on Monday, December 22, with a brilliant night of original foot-stomping, hand-clapping R&B, soul, reggae, rock and blues from singer/songwriter Terry Logan and her illustrious band.
The Terry Logan Band was formed in May 2013 and have gone from strength to strength with memorable performances at Smokestack and The Wardrobe in Leeds, Night and Day in Manchester and at Alchemy Festival in September.
They have just finished recording their first single, working with legendary Manchester producer Paul Hutchinson, best known for his work with Grover Washington Jr, Lyndsey Buckingham, Logique and the Space Monkeys.
The five members of TLB all live in Hebden Bridge.
Alongside Terry on lead vocals are Dave Nelson (Tongue & Groove, Bloody Big Soul Band) on keyboards, Simon Partridge (Dr Fuzz, The Experience) on guitar, Dave Foulger (Cosmic Slop, Lawless) on drums, with Graham Packham (Mean Business) on bass.
The band have become known not only for Terry’s superb vocals, but also for some great musicianship on original songs that make you want to listen but compel you to dance your heart out at the same time.
Starting the show is Manchester and Hebden Bridge-based singer/songwriter Lucy and the Caterpillar with her distinctive and captivating canon of memorable songs.
Filling the gaps between so much great live music, DJ Jango Jeannie will be playing the best recorded sounds to keep the Christmas party vibe going until very late in the evening.
Doors open at 8pm, and tickets which cost £5 and £7 can be obtained at the door, in advance at the venue or on line via www.thetradesclub.com/buy-tickets
