Flying the flag for independence - and in several ways - is the watchword at Hebden Bridge Trades Club over the next week.
All weekend the club is the base for the Heavenly Records 25th anniversary concerts and events, celebrating one of the country’s long-running indie record labels.
Some events are sold out but according to the club’s website some more tickets have become available for Doves’ frontman Jimi Goodwin’s matinee show on Saturday, January 24 (1pm, £16 members/£14).
There are also still tickets available at time of writing for a few of the other events. Check the club’s website for full details.
Then next Thursday it is full steam ahead into independent venue week, when events are opened by Only Ones front man Peter Perrett (8pm, £12 members/£15), the man who penned classics like Another Girl, Another Planet. Support is by Deadmill.
