Walsden C & FC earned a place in the semi-finals of the Rochdale Online Alliance’s Challenge Cup with a 6-2 home win over White Lion at Kingsway Sports Centre on Saturday.
Danny Brown bagged five goals in the final group game while Joe Gale got the other.
Walsden were also making a statement to Premier leaders Lion, who are one of four teams in the title hunt.
Dan Howley’s Walsden will bid to strengthen their own claims when they face bottom side Balderstone at Kingsway on Saturday.
