Trevor Barnes won the April medal by two shots on a relatively calm day at Todmorden GC on Saturday.
Trevor, the younger of the Barnes twins, scored a nett 66, reducing his handicap. Darren Wilson pipped Keith Lacey on a count back for second place, both scoring 68.
In a closely fought second division, big hitting club stalwart Alan Dickinson continued his run of good form by taking the spoils with a nett 70, beating Sean McLernon and local telecoms expert Mick Butcher on count back.
Thursday’s ladies Rive Rocks stableford was won by new member Clair Smith with 38 points. Julia White came second with 35 points and Alison Barker was third with 33.
