The two day Carlton Cup launched the major competition season at Hebden Bridge GC last weekend.
Seventy hopefuls started on Saturday and George Bamford (nett 65) set the pace from Darren Clitheroe (66), Joe Gibson (69) and Gavin Degnan (69).
The first three named played in the same four ball on Sunday.
Clitheroe dropped away but Gibson closed on Bamford and at the final hole had two putts from 15 feet to win. He took three and Bamford triumphed with Gibson and Degnan joint second.
Todmorden GC’s Frank Greaves and Alan Platten finished second in the am-am section at Tuesday’s Halifax-Huddersfield Alliance at Elland.
