People in the community in Walsden are being asked to go along and help get one of the village’s assets spic and span for the summer.
This Saturday morning, April 6, sees the club become part of the NatWest CricketForce 2013 scheme, which sees support from the banking group support local sports clubs like Walsden Cricket and Bowling Club.
Club chairman Jon Green said: “It’s the day when we ask for as many volunteers as possible to get together at the club to help prepare the ground for the start of the season – putting out the benches and applying the odd lick of paint.
“This year we should also be putting the finishing touches to our fantastic new three-lane all weather practice net facility.
“We will be on the ground from 9am and everyone is welcome. Please wear your scruffy work clothes!”
