Older people in Todmorden have been taking part in events to mark Dementia Awareness Week, a campaign organised by the Alzheimer’s Society.
Residents at Asquith Hall enjoyed a week of fun activities which included creating a dignity tree and memory garden, playing games and releasing purple and green balloons to celebrate the week’s activities.
Housing 21, a provider of older people’s housing and care, arranged a series of awareness sessions.
Nicola Reed, court manager at Stanley Cryer Court in the town, said; “The sessions have helped to alleviate the fear and prejudice surrounding dementia.”
