Woodhouse United host Waiters Arms in the Halifax FA Sunday Cup this weekend looking to put their league blues to one side.
United have lost their opening three matches in Division One of the Rochdale Sunday League but have shown enough to suggest that they could be a force to be reckoned if only they could field a full-strength side.
They scrambled together 11 players last Sunday away to Vasa FC and again were overwhelmed in the second half after injuries had taken their toll, losing 8-2.
Woodhouse were 2-1 up midway through the first half, goals from Ben Uttley and Johnny Sutcliffe helping them recover from a goal down.
Vasa were 3-2 up by half time and when a visiting player was forced to retire the hosts ran away with the contest.
