I just wanted to personally thank everyone who braved the weather to support the Todmorden Carnival.
A big thank you to Todmorden C of E school and Cornholme School for taking part in the parade, their costumes where brilliant and it just goes to show what the schools are capable of doing, let’s hope the other schools take a leaf out of these schools books and take part next year.
Also a massive thank you to all the staff at the Rope and Anchor pub who take part in the parade and the tug of war year after year.
Once again it’s a shame that none of the other pubs get involved.
A thank you must go out to Dawn Chapman’s school of dance (DC Dance) who just get better and better each year, but my personal highlight was Rev Canon Owen Page of St Mary’s church in a tutu and butterfly wings. It just goes to show what the people of Todmorden can achieve when we all pull together as a community. Thank you once again and I’ll look forward to you all taking part in the Todmorden carnival in 2015.
