Ferney Lee School footballers are welcoming in the New Year with a brand new kit, kindly donated by Lee Mitchell of Mitchell Excavations.
After seeing the pupils competing last year in mismatched kit, Lee decided that he wanted to do something for the school, donating two full kits, for years three and six.
“Seeing the children represent the school in mismatched kits last year, made me feel really sad, they were trying their best, but certainly didn’t look their best. This was one way I could help the school. I hope that the kit gives them a greater pride when they represent the school, allowing them to go on to score loads of goals and win tournaments!” said Lee, who was thanked by headteacher Helen Hannah, who said the team would certainly now look the part.
